Chicago Celtic Festival |

Chicago Celtic Fest Grant Park 300 S. Columbus Drive 312-744-3315
The Celtic Festival is making its way into Chicago for its 10th annual return! Filled with wonderful Celtic music, dance and food, the festival is sure to be a crowd pleaser. The festival celebrates the beautiful history and traditions of the Celtic nations.
The Celtic Festival first began in 1997 as a way to educate people about the wonderful music and heritage that came out of the seven Celtic nations: Brittany, France; Wales, Cornwall, Isle of Man, Galicia, Spain; Ireland and Scotland. Deemed a big success, from its commencement, the festival has returned year after year, proving to be a Chicago favorite.
With nine stages set up, The Celtic Fest features over 100 performances over a two-day span. That’s a lot of music! In addition to the stages, there is an area for bagpipes, a sheepherding demonstration, and the Celtic Kids’ Area. The Scottish Heavy Athletics Competition will take place, and a coffee and tea garden will be open for patrons. Of course there will be plenty of Celtic themed restaurants around the festival.
The nine stages include the Celtic Crossroads Stage, Dance Stage, Evening Showcase Stage, and The Gathering. Several special tents will be set up as well, including The Harp Tent, Celtic Voice Tent, Ceili Dance Tent, and Uillean Pipe Tionol. Each stage or tent includes anything from talented performers, dance lessons, and bagpipes to singers, vendors, food and much more.
The Chicago Celtic Festival takes place Saturday, September 16 – Sunday, September 17. Admission to the festival is free, and the party lasts all day long, beginning at 11:00 am, and running through 9:30 pm! Musical performances include Tornaod, Sheila Tully Academy of Irish Dance, Tommy Martin, King Chiaullee and many more.
