Swift Sets Attendance Record, Causes Traffic Tie-Up At Country USA
Taylor Swift has the new attendance record for Oshkosh, Wisconsin's Country USA. Event organizer Dan Liebhauser tells "The Oshkosh Northwestern" an estimated crowd of 42-thousand came to the festival's opening night last Wednesday, which featured Swift as the headliner. He notes, quote, "By all appearances, it was the largest attendance in our 14-year history." But Swift's participation in the event also resulted in some traffic problems. Swift's bus jackknifed on the one of the exit roads, blocking that route out of the area. Between the limited access and large number of concertgoers, it took some attendees as much as two hours just to leave the parking area.
Country USA was among Swift's stops on her "Fearless Tour 2009," which, next week, will take the singer to Canada. Taylor's next show is coming up in Calgary, Alberta on July 8th. |
