Lady Gaga Cancels England Shows With Take That Due To Illness
American dance-pop sensation Lady Gaga did not take the stage in England as planned this weekend due to a sudden illness. The BBC reports thousands of angry fans complained on Saturday night when Gaga called out of her Manchester performance without explanation. The singer was set to open for British pop group Take That on Saturday and again on Sunday night. A spokesman tells the BBC Lady Gaga is, quote, "currently resting on doctor's orders." He adds that the musician looks forward to rejoining Take That for performances next weekend.
Many fans are sharing their disappointment after Lady Gaga's failure to show up and perform. One fan wrote on Take That's website, quote, "How dare Lady Gaga not turn up? She lost herself 50-thousand fans last night." Another fan told the BBC the singer's cancelled set caused the audience a fair bit of boredom. The 31-year-old Stockport resident said, quote, "It was a bit disappointing because there was nothing to get you going. You stood there like a sardine." |
