Tanya Tucker Takes Her "Turn"
Tanya Tucker has a new CD in stores. For "My Turn," the veteran performer puts her own spin on country classics originally made famous by some of the best male vocalists in country music. The singer tells "Music News Nashville" the project was a big intimidating. She notes, quote, "There was a fear of not being able to do these songs as well, or do them justice," admitting, quote, "You get the originals implanted in your head." Tucker explains her goal, adding, quote, "I just wanted to try to make these my own -- like they did." Tracks include covers of Hank Williams' "Lovesick Blues," Ray Price's "Crazy Arms," Eddy Arnold's "You Don't Know Me," and Buck Owens' "Love's Gonna Live Here." Tucker's "My Turn" arrives today. |
