Disney Star Ashley Tisdale Maturing With New Album
Disney starlet Ashley Tisdale is hoping to show a more mature side on her new album "Guilty Pleasures." Billboard.com reports the 23-year-old star of Disney's "High School Musical" wanted to come across as more "edgy" on the disc, the way she was before she joined the "HSM" family. She said, quote, "I wanted to show people a side of me they haven't seen before." In the new album, due next month, Tisdale works with "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi among other big names in the music industry. The singer says many of the rock-pop driven songs speak about relationships and boys as well as, quote, "survival and staying strong."
"Guilty Pleasures" hits stores on July 18th. Target and Wal-Mart stores will sell exclusive editions of the album with bonus material including posters and additional songs. The first single from the disc, "It's Alright, It's Okay" is making the rounds on radio airwaves now. |
