The season four "American Idol" winner will turn in the patriotic song before the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints take the field to do battle in the NFL championship game. Underwood's Super Bowl turn follows Oscar winner and season three "American Idol"' finalist Jennifer Hudson, who performed the anthem at last year's big game. Other performers for Super Bowl 44 include Queen Latifah, who'll sing "America the Beautiful" during pre-game festivities, while veteran British rockers The Who will be at the helm for this year's halftime show. Super Bowl 44 takes place Sunday, February 7th at Sun Life Stadium in Miami. |
