Spoon Talks South By Southwest For 2010
The South By Southwest lineup continues to take shape. The band Spoon is part of the bill. Singer Britt Daniel remembers his very first South By Southwest experience, recalling his participation as a spectator rather than as a performer.
There will be more veteran acts in addition to Spoon. Those acts include Athlete, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Broken Social Scene, Evan Dando, Les Savy Fav, and She & Him taking the stage in Austin during this year's event. In addition, John Doe, Melissa Auf Der Maur, Suzanne Vega, Andrew W.K., Chris Walla, Anya Marina, and Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth take part in various panels. There's also a wealth of buzzworthy newer acts like Band Of Skulls, Frightened Rabbit, Midlake, Miike Snow, The Drums, The Soft Pack, The Very Best, The xx, and VV Brown trying to garner some attention. Austin is the place to be March 17th-21st. |
