Report: Dr. Conrad Murray Faces Arraignment
Michael Jackson's doctor faces arraignment today on charges related to the death of the King of Pop. TMZ.com reports Dr. Conrad Murray will turn himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department this morning. He will then be booked and taken to court for an arraignment scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Pacific time. Murray is expected to face a charge of involuntary manslaughter.
Jackson died unexpectedly on June 25th of last year ahead of the launch of his "This Is It" concert tour. He had hired Murray to accompany him on the tour as his personal physician and was set to pay him a tidy sum of 150-thousand-dollars per month for his work. Murray has acknowledged administering the anesthetic propofol to Jackson shortly before the pop star's death. The Los Angeles County's coroner's office has blamed Jackson's death on "acute propofol intoxication." |
