Underwood, Bryan Slated For City Of Hope Softball Challenge
Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan are the first country stars to sign on for the upcoming 20th annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge. They're set to play for the Grand Ole Opry team, which will be facing the syndicated radio show "After Midnight with Blair Garner" in the charity match. More stars will be announced for the Opry team as the game date approaches. The City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge has become the unofficial launch of the annual CMA Music Fest, which begins in Nashville on June 10th. The Opry and "After Midnight" will meet on the diamond under the lights at Nashville's Greer Stadium at 7:00 p.m. local time on June 7th. Money raised will go to the City of Hope, which funds research and treatments for cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening diseases. |
