Hughes, Bonamassa To Change Name Of Supergroup
Glenn Hughes' supergroup-in-the works is reworking its name. The former Black Sabbath and Deep Purple member had discussed rocking under the name "Black Country" in at least one online post, but the group won't go forward with that name over the long haul. According to "Undercover" magazine, because there's already a band out there known as "Black Country," Hughes' group is looking for another moniker. Joe Bonamassa, who plays guitar for the new group, said, quote, "It (the name) jumped out of the gun. It got leaked inadvertently and it has spread like wildfire. It wasn't anybody's fault, it just got leaked. Somebody overheard a conversation. The definition of overhearing a conversation is putting it online and acting if it's fact."
In related news, Hughes and Bonamassa announced in February that the band has written 12 original tracks for its debut album. |
