Beastie Boys Aim For Fall Release
The Beastie Boys are hoping to have "Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 1" in stores in September, one year later than it was initially supposed to arrive. The disc was delayed after rapper Adam "MCA" Yauch was diagnosed with a cancerous salivary gland tumor last July. But after treatment Yauch says he's starting to feel better. He tells EW.com, quote, "It was touch and go there for a while, but I am finally getting my energy back." Yauch notes the goal now is to have their music ready for a fall release. He admits it still depends on his health, and they still have to, quote, "play it by ear." Yauch says the group will revisit the album shortly to make sure they are still happy with the material and determine if they want to make additions or changes. |
