Stryper Plans Cover Album
Stryper is planning an album full of classic covers. Band member Michael Sweet is using his Twitter account to leak tracks from the project in the works. Among them are Kansas' late 70s track "Carry On Wayward Son," "Heaven and Hell" by Black Sabbath, UFO's "Light's Out," and "Highway Star" by Deep Purple. Sweet assures his fans that tweet updates are "legit," writing, quote, "Thanks again for all your prayers and support and I look forward to catching up with everyone on Twitter. Here's my twitter address below. And yes, this is me personally tweeting. Not management. Not the label. It's me -- probably in the studio, or at a Starbucks somewhere."
Stryper's upcoming cover project follows the band's "Murder by Pride," released last July. |
