Guns N' Roses Stage Collapses In Rio
The members of Guns N' Roses are okay after a stage collapse in Brazil Sunday. The group ended up canceling their performance at Rio De Janeiro's Apoteose Stadium after heavy rains led to the stage giving way. At one point there were reports that someone was killed in the incident, but Axl Rose stated in a posting on Twitlonger.com, quote, "There fortunately are no fatalities but there are injuries from both our camp and Rio crews the extent of which is not known at present." He noted there were other concerns as well, adding, quote, "Also a truck w/part of The Sebastian Bach Band's gear has rolled on the trip from Sao Paulo to Rio what is our understanding several times and we are awaiting details on the safety of the driver at this time." Rose noted that GNR planned to reschedule the Rio show. The group's next scheduled concert is for Porto Alegre, Brazil Tuesday night. |
