"Idol" Contestants Sing From The Stones' Songbook
"American Idol's" season nine contestants are giving songs by The Rolling Stones a shot in live competition tonight. There's no word on which tracks "Idol's" contenders will select, but RollingStone.com is predicting that classics -- like "Satisfaction," "Tumbling Dice," "Miss You," and "Waiting On A Friend" will likely appear. It's not the first time that a TV talent show has accessed the rockers' catalog. "Britain's Got Talent" runner-up Susan Boyle has turned the Stones' "Wild Horses" into a hit of her own. Six men and six women remain on "American Idol." Aaron Kelly, Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Lee DeWyze, Michael Lynche, and Tim Urban will "roll on" in competition among the men tonight. Representing the women are Crystal Bowersox, Didi Benami, Katie Stevens, Lacey Brown, Paige Mills, and Siobahn Magnus. Catch "American Idol" tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern on FOX. In related news, as the results pour in tomorrow night, "Idol" will host two VIP guests. Pop star Ke$ha will perform her single "Blah Blah Blah." Michael Jackson's former tour bass player Orianthi also will guest on the show, singing her track "According to You." Tomorrow's results show begins at 9:00 p.m. Eastern on FOX.
