Ne-Yo Unsure About Unreleased Michael Jackson Music
R&B singer Ne-Yo is hanging onto some music he wrote for the late King of Pop and isn't sure what to do with it. He tells Australia's "Daily Telegraph" that he's lost without the muse for whom he wrote the songs. Ne-Yo says, quote, "I can't sell them on to someone else as that would be disrespectful but I also think it might be disrespectful to bring them out myself...they were songs written absolutely for Michael Jackson." The songs were born after Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas contacted the songwriter to collaborate on a Jackson comeback record. The King of Pop had become a fan of Ne-Yo's after hearing his songs "Sexy Love" and "So Sick."
Jackson tasked Ne-Yo with creating songs with meaning and complained that the pop hits he was hearing at the time were about nothing. Ne-Yo says, quote, "If it's not about a party or sex then it's about money, and there's not really much to that." |
